This project aims at assessing the interest of using a Rankine cycle in order to recover some lost heat and to increase the efficiency of the Diesel power packs installed on the Alstom diesel electric train.


Startup January 2013.
The project will last three years.

This project aims at drastically cutting costs of technologies for energy efficiency and recovery of waste heat. An ambitious goal : the development of a 35 kWe ORC module that can be transposed to the power range from 35 kWe to 120 kWe, with a realistic price for industry sector. Thanks to this price, the technology could be extended to several industrial sectors.

Future projects will allow us to widen the power range beyond 100 kWe.


Startup December 2013.
The project will last two and a half years.

This project will demonstrate the efficiency of our innovative technology for reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of thermal engines.

This will be done by adapting ENOGIA’s innovative heat recovery technology (based on the Organic Rankine Cycle which converts heat into work) to mobile thermal engines in fishing vessels.
